Curating the Next 35 Years in Downtown St. Petersburg

The St. Petersburg/Tampa region regularly ranks exceptionally well, as a top spot to live, work,m and play. Whether it’s due to local beaches, arts and culture, or the number of businesses and families relocating to our area, St. Pete boasts an environment perfect for opportunity, inclusion, and growth. Since 1987, St. Petersburg has been home to Bessolo Design Group, Inc. One of the team’s first offices was in a historic bank building located at 556 Central Avenue North. While celebrating the firm's 35th year in business, and the associated growth, Kevin and Mardi Bessolo determined a relocation back to the city’s core was an opportunity worth investing in.

Alongside the firm’s team of in-house architects, engineers, and interior designers, they pulled together a vision for the 10,000 square foot renovation, situated on the second floor of Bayfront Towers. Delvis Diaz, owner of Diaz Fritz, was selected as the general contractor due to the teams’ history of success and trust on past projects around the region.

The owners of the space, Kevin and Mardi Bessolo, in collaboration with the firm’s interior design department, curated an industrial look for the commercial office space. The team chose bursts of cobalt blue and gold accents.
